Lemurian crystals are unique quartz crystals, pure and clear in the center. Their unique distinguishing feature is the horizontal "stripes" on one or more sides. They appear to have been engraved by someone's hand, or rather by a laser. They can be slightly red in color due to a thin layer of iron oxide. The only place where these crystals are found and mined is Brazil. Originally thought to come only from the Joaquim Felicio region in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, they have also been found in the high mountain areas of the Diamantina and Corinto regions.
Lemurian Crystal - Natural Crystal from Brazil
Lemurian crystals are among the most interesting varieties of crystal. They come mainly from Brazil and are easily recognized by their characteristic horizontal grooves on one or more sides of the crystal. These lines give the crystal a unique appearance and make it very sought after among mineral collectors.
This piece represents an authentic natural crystal SiO₂ with pronounced clarity and typical “record lines”. Lemurian crystals are popular both for collectors and as decorative stones with a unique appearance.
